Our Mission

Our mission at the Kids Kingfish Derby is to create a fun and educational fishing tournament for children, focused on catching kingfish off the Jacksonville coast. Through this event, we aim to instill a love for fishing and the marine environment in our young participants while promoting sportsmanship and conservation ethics. All net proceeds from the tournament are dedicated to supporting local Jacksonville charities, ensuring that our community grows stronger together.

    Kids Kingfish Derby Liability Waiver Release

    Participation in the Kids Kingfish Derby (the “Tournament”) is undertaken voluntarily and at the sole risk of the registered participants and their companions, crew members, and observers (collectively referred to as “Participants”). By participating, Participants agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Tournament, Kids Kingfish Derby, and all associated officers, directors, employees, volunteers, agents, partners, members, and attorneys (referred to as the “Tournament Entities”) from any claims arising from negligence or any other act or omission of the Tournament Entities.

    Neither the Tournament Entities nor any individuals or entities involved in organizing or conducting the Kids Kingfish Derby shall be liable for any damages, including but not limited to special, incidental, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages, arising from any cause whatsoever, including negligence, harm, injury, or death.

    The Tournament Committee retains the right to deny entry to any boat, team, or individual.

    Participants consent to the use of any photographs or audio recordings taken during the Tournament by the Tournament for promotional purposes without any compensation or restriction.

    This Liability Waiver Release is binding upon Participants and their heirs, representatives, successors, and assigns. By registering for the Kids Kingfish Derby, Participants acknowledge that they have reviewed and agree to abide by the rules and terms outlined in this Liability Waiver Release.
