Teaching Kids To
Love The Water

The Kids Kingfish Derby is an exclusive youth fishing tournament focused on catching Kingfish off the Jacksonville coast. We teach young anglers about fishing, marine environments, and conservation while promoting good sportsmanship.

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, all net tournament proceeds support local Jacksonville charities — making every fish caught a win for the whole community.

How old do you have to be to fish?

Anglers must be 15 years old or under. Two age divisions: 6 & Under and ages 7–15.

How much does it cost to enter?

$25 per angler. The boat captain does not count toward the entry fee.

Where does the tournament take place?

Fishing in the Atlantic Ocean between St. Augustine and Fernandina Beach, FL. Captain's Meeting and weigh-in at The Palms Fish Camp in Jacksonville.

When is the 2026 tournament?

Saturday, July 25, 2026. Fishing hours 7:00 AM–2:00 PM, weigh-in closes 4:30 PM. Captain's Meeting July 23 at 6:00 PM.

Is Kids Kingfish Derby a nonprofit?
